After several international exhibitions Zeller van Almsick is pleased to announce Restless Relays the second gallery solo exhibition with Dejan Dukic. In addition to larger formats, smaller works which were created in cooperation with Collectors Agenda will also be shown.

The paintings of Dejan Dukic (*1975 in Vienna) may remind us of hardened fibers, organic structures such as moss or lichens, and sometimes grid-like urban landscapes. In their very own composition they take on an abstract form that is difficult to interpret. This plurality and projection surface open to interpretation results from Dukic’s constant experimentation with material, which follows long investigations of tactile visualisations. The forms are an expression of his devotion to the material and his ability to shake off artistic control by abandoning the commonly expected tools of an artist - easel, brush, and palette - in favor of the direct encounter between oil paint and canvas.

Concurrently, Collector’s Agenda opens on the same floor Rules of Abstraction. The exhibition shows a series of new small-format crumpled sculptures and wall works by Esther Stocker (*1974 in Schlanders, South Tyrol). Juxtaposed with works by the Swedish Biennale artist Jacob Dahlgren (*1970, Stockholm), who continues the tradition of geometric constructivism from repeated forms of everyday life and places it in the context of the present.

On June 5 and 6, 2020 the Austrian galleries will open their doors together with numerous new exhibitions.
