Sounds Queer? - Sound Installation

Interactive, collective and unexpected. We invite you to question what queer sound could mean and visit a sound installation, prepared during a workshop by Zosia Hołubowska and Sounds Queer?. SQ? is a collective, a synth laboratory in Vienna’s 5th district and artistic research project exploring the queer approach to sound. It organizes workshops on electronic music, arranges performances based on improvisation, aiming at animating a safer space through music and makes pop-up sound installations. Using what is at hand, DIY ethics and referring to participant’s own, embodied experiences, the group will create an experimental sound collage - exhibition. Who and how it will sound like is yet to be determined, but it will tackle collectivity, vulnerability and using the body to compose music. You can participate in the workshop and take part in building this ephemeral, odd, forever unfinished and weird creation.
