Irina Lotarevich & Anna Schachinger

The duo show Pensive State contains new works by Irina Lotarevich and Anna Schachinger.

Irina Lotarevich was born in 1991 in Rybinsk, Russia, and raised in New York City. She studied at Cornell University, Hunter College, and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Recent solo exhibitions include The Fish, the Hooks, the Knives at Parallel, Vienna (2018) and Schemas at Kevin Space, Vienna (2017). Her works have also been exhibited at What Pipeline, Detroit, the FUTURA Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague, and Eli Ping Frances Perkins, New York, among others.
In 2019 she will have a solo exhibition at the FUTURA Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague.

Anna Schachinger received her diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She participated in the maumaus study program in Lisbon in 2017 and studied at School of the Art Institute in Chicago from 2010 to 2012.
Recent solo exhibitions include Holderinnen at Brennan and Griffin, New York and Lost in Thoughts at fourteen30, Portland (both 2018), alles at Lulu, Mexico City (2017), white crocodile at fAN Kunstverein, Vienna (2016).
In 2018 her work has been included in the group shows Use your Illusion at Herald Street, London and At Large at Reyes Projects, Detroit.
Upcoming projects include a solo exhibition at Madragoa ENCIMA, Lisbon and a participation in La peinture abstraite at La Maison de Rendez-vous, Brussels.
