Kyle Thurman: Tremoring Cup

For his first solo exhibition in Vienna, Kyle Thurman will present an installation of new drawings and sculptures.

Kyle Thurman (born in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1986, lives and works in New York) received his BA in Film Studies and Visual Arts from Columbia University in 2009. He later studied as a guest student at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 2011 to 2012 and completed his MFA at Bard College in 2015.

Solo exhibitions include: 2018 Like Crazy Nature at CENTRAL FINE, Miami (US); 2016 A Lonely Butcher at Off Vendome, New York (US); 2015 Towards A Technical Being at Office Baroque, Brussels (BE), to drink with teeth at Carl Kostyal, London (UK), Heat Theater at Off Vendome, Düsseldorf (DE); 2013 Banana Tourist at Office Baroque, Brussels (BE).

He recently participated in the 2018 FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial (curated by Michelle Grabner) with a collaborative project, Kitnick Thurman.

Thurman’s work will be included in forthcoming group shows at 1301PE, Los Angeles and THE MEETING, New York.

His work is part of the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
