Performance
#Filipino Roots #Dance & Storytelling #Friends & Community

A group performance project cultivating Filipino Roots through diverse dance chronicles is set to unfold on the stages of Vienna. This production seamlessly blends street dance styles, contemporary dance, choreography and poetry, creating a dynamic narrative that explores the rich tapestry of the Filipino experience. Becoming a powerful vessel for self-expression and heartfelt conversations, offering a unique perspective through words and movement.

At its core, “Watering the Soil” celebrates the history of the young Filipino-Viennese community, gracefully transitioning from the vibrant streets to the expressive stage. As we showcase the depth of Filipino artistry and hard work, our collective goal is not only to be seen but to be heard and understood, fostering a meaningful connection with our audience.

This showcase aims to gain recognition for the Filipino community’s profound influence on Vienna’s dance scene. Embark on this rhythmic journey with us as we water the soil of our roots through the transformative language of dance.

Representing various generations, the 8 Filipino performers all born and raised in Vienna each contribute their distinctive individual specialties that add a unique flair to the stage. We want to make a lasting impact on the younger Filipinos in Vienna, instilling the belief that the energy we ignite could guide them towards a prosperous tomorrow as they embrace their cultural heritage.
