Say Nothing (Reading)
Lisa Holzer

When you google “impotence of discourse” Google looks for the “importance of discourse”. And it makes sense to read its impotence as its importance. Say Nothing is some kind of distant sequel to She knows nothing about clouds. It falls apart and aims to hold things together, though what is not so clear. It is mainly concerned with listening and margins, and with what (it) is not. And among other things, talks about Lacan text t-shirts, not talking to …, shame, psychoanalysis, pictures of puddles, the sound plane in the beginning of the film The Killing of Two Lovers, ending as a marshmallow hamster in a Meredith Rosen Instagram video loop, billowing soles of e.g., Balenciaga or Balmain trainers, cereal, the fantasy of an inside, Crookies, Hanne Darboven at Heidi gallery in Berlin, waiting, and how to go on, continue.

Followed by Hanne Darboven’s OPUS 25 A “LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN”.
